its a damn cold night...

I'm Standing on a bridge
I'm waitin in the dark
I thought that you'd be here by now
Theres nothing but the rain
No footsteps on the ground
I'm listening but theres no sound

Isn't anyone tryin to find me?
Won't somebody come take me home
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Wont you take me by the hand
take me somewhere new
I dont know who you are
but I... I'm with you
I'm with you

im looking for a place
searching for a face
is anybody here i know
cause nothings going right
and everythings a mess
and no one likes to be alone

Isn't anyone tryin to find me?
Won't somebody come take me home
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Wont you take me by the hand
take me somewhere new
I dont know who you are
but I... I'm with you
I'm with you

oh why is everything so confusing
maybe I'm just out of my mind
yea yea yea

It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Wont you take me by the hand
take me somewhere new
I dont know who you are
but I... I'm with you
I'm with you

Take me by the hand
take me somewhere new
I dont know who you are
but I... I'm with you
I'm with you

Take me by the hand
take me somewhere new
I dont know who you are
but I... I'm with you
I'm with you
I'm with you...

anything but ordinary

Sometimes I get so weird
I even freak myself out
I laugh myself to sleep
It's my lullaby
Sometimes I drive so fast
Just to feel the danger
I wanna scream
It makes me feel alive

Is it enough to love?
Is it enough to breathe?
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed
Is it enough to die?
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please

To walk within the lines
Would make my life so boring
I want to know that I
Have been to the extreme
So knock me off my feet
Come on now give it to me
Anything to make me feel alive

Is it enough to love?
Is it enough to breathe?
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed
Is it enough to die?
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please.

Let down your defences
Use no common sense
If you look you will see
that this world is a beautiful
accident turbulent suculent
opulent permanent, no way
I wanna taste it
Don't wanna waste it away

Sometimes I get so weird
I even freak myself out
I laugh my self to sleep
It's my lullaby

Is it enough?
Is it enough?
Is it enough to breathe?
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed
Is it enough to die?
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please

Is it enough?
Is it enough to die?
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please
I'd rather be anything but ordinary please.

A Bridge Across Forever...

some of the contents that i really liked from the novel "A Bridge Across Forever"

You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true.

To bring anything into your life imagine that it’s already there.

The best way to pay for a lovely moment is to enjoy it.

The only thing that shatters dream is compromise.

“That’s what learning is, after all: not whether we lose the game, but how we lose and how we’ve changed because of it and what we take away from it that we never had before, to apply to other games. Losing in a curious way is winning.”

When night came,
A baby moon
Laughed sideways in the dark.
I laughed back
And thought:
Partway across the world
Your sky
Is filled with the same
Golden laughter,
And hoped that you,
Twinkling blue eyes,
Saw and heard,
So that somehow we three
Were joined in our gladness,
Each in our own space,
Together apart,
Distance meaningless.
And I slept
In a world
Full of smiles.

Smoking: its like saying to everyone around you-“you matter so little to me that I don’t care if you cant breathe. Die if you want, I’m lighting up!” not a courteous habit. Not something to do around people you like.

Walls don’t protect you. They isolate you.

Boredom between two people doesn’t come from being together, physically. It comes from being apart, mentally and spiritually.

Anyone you want to keep in your life- never take them for granted.

Look for love-affair that gets better with time, admiration brightening, trust that grows through storms.

Finding intense intimacy and joy maybe everyone’s needs in a soul mate, but we despair of finding them and we try to settle for less. Settle for a lukewarm lover and mild happiness yet when we know in our hearts that lukewarm will turn cold; mild happiness will become a kind of nameless sadness, nagging questions: is this the love of my life, is this all there is, is this why I’m here? In our hearts we know there must be more, and we long for the one we never found.
Better to learn happiness alone, I thought, love my friends and my cat, better wait for a soul mate who never comes than to make a dull compromise.

A soul mate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong with us, with that one person we’re safe in our own paradise. Our soul mate is one who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we’re two balloons and together our direction is up, chances are we’ve found the right person. Our soul mate is the one who makes life come to life.

:)

1. I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All u can do is stalk 'em & hope they panic & give in!

2. I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just assholes!

3. I've learned that it takes years to build up trust but it takes only suspicion (& not proof) to destroy it.

4. I've learned that we're responsible for what we do unless we're celebrities.

5. I've learned that regardless of how hot & steamy a relationship is at first, when the passion fades, there had better be a lot of money to take its place.

6. I've learned that 99% of the time if something isn't working in yo house, 1 of yo kids did it.

7. I've learned that the people you care for most are taken from u too soon and all the less important & unwanted one just never go away!

You can copy paste this in yo blog or send it as email to 10 of your friends. Trust me, whoever reads it will appreciate it. Who knows, may be something good will happen.... If not, Tough shit!

life is a cycle...

Today was LEGEN...wait for it...wait for it...DARY! Last night was one horrible night. For various reasons...for one the bad tummy ache, not surprising as I was skipping meals and not drinking enough water...anyways getting back to the legendary day, I almost missed on it! I hadn’t slept well and stomach was kinda cramped so planned to drop outta the picnic plan...but then my fren (whose place we had planned to go) persuaded me and came to pick me up. Went there by boat, lotta pics n videos... we ate on the water bank the lunch we’d got parceled...I survived on fruits and frootiii while my frens ate burgers :( then we got into the water and I fell in love with it!! I learnt to float!!! It was an amazing feeling...to float on my back! To float face down! To float hugging my knees! FYI I don’t know to swim that’s why all this excitement. The weather was amazing. I came back home with a smile, slept with a smile. All this happened yesterday and I jus got the time to post it. As good as yesterday was, today turned out to be the extreme opposite of it. My tolerance was tested; my eyes were tired of being rolled, and I was pushed around too much beyond reasonable limits.
I cannot understand how some people can be so full of themselves. To treat themselves superior over every other living being, have no respect for another human being. It’s a shame to be related to such people and I had a day with someone from that category. Thank god I have frens who help me survive through such ordeals. Trust me on this one cause no one can be around a person like that for too long. Well for me, even seconds seem to torture. The day is over and I made it through so god help me when and if today repeats.

so i end it here saying life is a cycle good follows bad follows awesome follows worse and so on...
btw i love my new tan...flaming tan(kinda red u see)i dint get this kind even in goa!! lol.

my day 2day

My feet are killing me 2day...
Warning: the above sentence is bound to appear repeatedly in the following passage.
It was a good day overall :) woke up by eleven, showered and had a cup o coffee, then contemplated whether to go or not to, to the neighbor’s satyanarayan vrat pooja n finally went on time. I never have interacted much with the people living in my building and today I got the chance. M glad I did. Almost all younger to me, which reminds me that I’m ancient :(
Then all planned for beach outing this eve, and I was as usual apprehensive. Honestly speaking this noon was my 3rd proper interaction with them...the first being building inauguration (2 yrs back maybe) the 2nd this new year and then today. I pretty much keep to myself so...hmmm
I did wanna sleep after the heavy lunch but then the beach was calling. We went in bout 4 cars almost 30 people consisting loads of kids n handful o parents. Played beach throw ball, kho-kho(after a veryyy long time) tug o war what not...the kids n elders interacted jovially and it felt good to be in such company. Seeing some of the couples(aunties n uncles mind you) made me believe a little that there are some happy ones too...I’d read a blog yesterday of a lady who was in love with her spouse(vice versa) for more than a decade n married probably a year ago, facing problems beyond repair. Every sentence oozing the pain she is going through and still not giving up. I’m a cynic by nature. I don’t believe in “happily-ever-after”. When I feel that the situation is beyond repair, I’d advice the person to let it go and move on. Somehow I manage to do it if I am in a let go situation. Maybe I’ve never come across a bond so strong to make me hold on to it. Ok I have a major problem of not being able to focus and start wandering so getting back to 2day...
My feet are killing me right now and I need to sleep early. It’s a big day ahead of me tomorrow.
Then after two hours in and around the water and a little borrowed-cam-photography (ma’s taken mine n she is returning home tomorrow) we had bhel and the drive back home was nice. But it was getting late and my head was already doing the math of time to prepare dinner and the head bath plus my killing feet. As usual I managed to take care of it all, in the same order.
A few things today reminded me a lot bout the goa trip...and THAT topic is for next time so until then this was my day 2day :)

ok i'm here...so what are your other two wishes :)

It all started with me thinking bout my career plans. I’m a 21 yr old just about to finish my B.E. in biotechnology, a very happening field. I happened to answer a campus interview for an IT company and easily managed to get through in the first attempt. Well that’s almost a year ago and now that I’m nearing my graduation I started some serious thinking of where am I gonna land up?! IT is definitely not my forte so I crossed it off the list. Going for higher studies is not an option right now for me, so that’s on hold. Getting a biotech job in the field of my choice seems highly unlikely considering most of them demand work ex or prefer B.Sc. or M.Sc. pass outs. They’re not excuses; I’m just trying to narrow down my options.

I thought of alternative career options, something that I’d love to do and I’m good at. And I knew it in my heart that it had to be related to the English language and creativity. I’m not planning to be a writer...well I haven’t given it a thought. I discussed it with a friend of mine, who loves his job. He chose a field of his interest and it gives a sense of hope to me when I see him so happy in what he’s chosen as his path. I’d like to be there someday. He suggested I start writing little articles for papers and magazines, to start blogging. That was new to me, but I remembered an article in RD of how everyone who’s out there on the net breathing oxygen is blogging. So I thought hey why not me? Also I came across a debate in “we the people” in NDTV on blogging, the positive and negative effects, whether it needs to be regulated etc. It set me off thinking what could I write about?

This was something I’d tapped couple o weeks back n I finally manage to get into this world of blog...As for what I can possibly write... “Anything and everything” is the answer I discovered after going through quite a few blogs, so here I am.

Few things I’m certain of as yet is that I’ll definitely be on the look out for a BT job cuz the latter option of landing into an IT sector gives me nightmares!!! As of now I’m as lazy as a sloth. Don’t know for how long these blissful days will last hmmmm...

I’m glad to have entered the world of blogs cuz the heights of desperation had driven me to write testimonials for my closest friends on orkut...well that was fine but then I was also doing all these stupid movie quizzes on facebook!! Prior to that I was so idle that I ended up reading a novel a day...at least now I feel I have something worthy of my time.

This was supposed to have been pasted 2 days back!! But the delay is cause I couldn't come up with a blog name...

May be that’s gonna be my next topic :)
