Weekend that was...

Last weekend was fun :D

My best friend's Birthday where I tried my best to throw a surprise and succeeded. It was fun. The night, next day and then again Sat night Girls night out! The party. The shots. Doing stuff. All the girl talk! But the hangover that followed was not all that great. Well it wasn't that bad, but it was a tough day as we had the fitness assessment. Hmmm then the jazz and then the new week began where I realised I don't want to be doing the same work for long.

Need to think and plan it out. Right now in pain, hope the sleep will drive it away !

Goodnight.

Tag !

Tag time:
A list that I was supposed to make long long back but never had the time.

It requires you to list traits of yours that don't fit your gender stereotype. Picked it up from Raysh.

Ok to begin with I'll cross off some of the common things I found:

I love jeans any day of the week! I wish we dint have dresscode at work. It would have been such a relief to just go in a pair of jeans and Tee! I'm rarely the dressy types. Just yesterday I was discussing with my friend bout my zero fashion knowledge and she said that "You do have it. You just prefer not to use it " :) So sue me!

I love gadgets. I love exploring and dismantling them. I love tools too. And most of the times with a little help I can sort out my electronic problems without needing a Man's hand in it.

I like videogames. We were up till 6am one rainy morning playing Wii! Need I say more?

I speak loudly, I laugh loudly and I rarely know to be subtle unless I intentionally mean to be.

I do not get facials, massages, manicures and it's a totally different thing I rarely have the time, but I manage to look neat. FYI I never visited a parlour for 4 months whilst in London.

I get along well with boys as well as gals. My thinking is more like that of a guy so most of my guy friends find a "like-minded-buddy" in me. I have commitment issues. I am practical most of the times. I'm not once bitten twice shy types. I'm more of the once bitten, come within my personal space and I'll bite your head off types.

I'm very much organised and like to plan things in advance. I don't panic easy. (this is debatable)

I'm v.professional when it comes to work and I get things done by authority , not sweet talks.

I am completely capable of fending for myself in any situations. Times when nobody have stuck around made me stronger.

Ok I think that should be enough. Having said this, few stereotypical things would be....I'm a hopeless romantic at times, not v.mushy but i love flowers and cards and chick-lit novels. I love candles and romantic dinners. I do not know to drive or ride a two wheeler nor swim, though they are on my to do list :p I love dancing and singing and would always put family first.I believe, Money is not everything, but happiness is. I'm very emotional though I don't show much. Ah Thats all.

Home

Well A post from home, which was lying in my drafts way too long. This was my five day off from14th to 18th :)
Day 1
The journey was pretty ok. The day had been pretty bad...the eve actually. Will get to that later. Anyhoo I slept pretty ok, Dozed off listening to good music. Watched Big Bang couple of episodes and then dozed off again. Woke up to watch the rainy weather, wet roads and trees. Greenery all around. The most beautiful sight I have ever woken up to in a long time. I’d forgotten how beautiful the rainy season here could be. Came home and had breakfast. Slept some. Kept being woken up. All day relaxed and watched TV or some series. Ate on and off. Mom doesn’t even let me do the dishes so basically I’m being royally pampered. I watched Step up 2 and almost watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but was too sleepy so called it a day.

Day2:
Woke up around 6.30 then again around 9 when ma left and again when dad left and finally at 11 when I actually got my arse off the bed to have some breakfast.
Again TV and then lunch followed by siesta time. And was watching A mirror has two faces (which I think I have seen before)when mom called. Oh I missed out on 500 Days of Summer yesterday which I also need to talk about in detail, but later. Ok coming back to today, we went grocery shopping where I met one of my school friends; I usually bump into her and her ma whenever I come into town. Anyways same old talks about marriage and stuff. Now back home watching Bolt. Its a nice one. I want a puppy or maybe a kitten. Then I’ll also need a  new place to stay Lol! Someday...

Well I dint get around writing bout Day 3, 4 and 5 which I knew would just fly. Day 3 had been to Mang to meet up with one of my best friends P. We did a lot of talking. I did a lot of listening as usual. We stayed at my aunt’s talking late night. Also I finally got an off-white colour top which I was hunting for my brown skirt.(which btw does not match and is actually white and nice, not off white :/ hehe ) So yay! Then next day came home with Pachi pretty late. Mamama, mahve, sne n venk were already home. Mom had taken the noon off. It was good. Had good time with Sne. Well discussed lot of things, I know she’d need someone to talk to at this age. Gals always do. Eve had gone to collect my tickets bumped into Santy. Was good to meet after long time. Caught up with Pav along the way and we went to have chaats. Where i drooled!!! Not over the chaats or sweets but Nikon D-90!! :( Hmmm then next day everyone went to aanegudde next day, me and sne skipped. We had a gals day out. I took her shopping and this time we went western, else i’m sure she’d have gone for full sleeved loose kurtas she herself admitted. We had lunch out at 7bs and watche vinnai thandi varuvaya which i liked somewhat. I like a few songs of it too.

Well this is all for now.

And I’m going to post this off as I cannot push it off any longer ...!

Week that was...

It's been busy with work, shows sleepless nights and outings. It's been good. But I feel bit drained. Every morning when I have to wake up the wee hours when the whole world is snoring away to glory, I almost give up, but I will myself to take that first step. Once at the studio with everyone I'm in full form ready to kickass! :D That's me.

Well today there was a major embarrassing fiasco of which I dunno if I should be proud of or if I should feel ashamed. I had a wardrobe malfunction. Yes this can happen to common people. Just that it won't be EMPHASIZED on Aaj tak and its likes. Anyhoo coming back to the fiasco, we were performing the bollywood number. For all these performances lately I always made someone or the other knot the Halter neck tops as I don't know how to. But this last one I though whats the big deal in it, so I tied and it seemed fine. Until the second number was midway and whoopsy daisies my knots open whish my top is down. Well the safe part is we were wearing black leotards. So its not like anyone saw anything but it was highly embarrassing and I was conscious with all the hoots but still I continued, finished the sequence and then went in the green room. I was ok, and the girsls convinced me too saying its no biggie. But when AR came in the first thing he said was Why dint you walk out of the stage. Anything like that happens just walk off. I am not one of those choreographers who will make their dancers dance no matter what. I just couldn't take it and burst into tears. Then he tried lamely to convince me otherwise but the damage was done.

Later it was ok. Nobody spoke of that incident. AR did call to congratulate on my bravery. But it somehow feels less important as we usually tend to remember the bad stuff. Anyways I'll try to take this as positively as possible. From my point of view I dint do anything wrong. It was not vulgar and I did finish the sequence :)

Well it's almost a week since I wrote this but dint get a chance to post. So many thoughts flown through
So many days gone by! It's late in the night and I don't need sleep all that badly as I slept royally this noon. Updates: Well dance was fun yesterday. New kids joined. Workout was vigorous and my abs hurt badly. I can't get up nor laugh without a moan :p But it's ok. Mom is back from Bangkok trip and she was super excited. She got loadsa stuff and lately she has been giving me lots of new things. I'm not complaining. :) I've got a new cute bathrobe and new shoes. Also lotta bling stuff which she says is for my birthday yay!! But it's still far away.
Wii was fun. 500 days of summer is still yet to be watched. I feel well rested, yet uneasy and anxious. Eve was sulking and lonely. Wasn't feeling all that great, somehow it was a gloomy mood since I'd woken up. Roomies got tattoos. One of them crossed one off their list. That was smoking! That's one thing I cannot be cool about. Smoking up seems ok but smoking is not. Call me a hypocrite but I believe what I believe. Not that I smoke up but Oh Man! I can't believe I'm actually saying all this. There was a time when I was strictly against booze, smoke and dope. But my opinion on smoking will never change. It's somehow the worst of the lot. So had a minor tiff when A told me bout trying smoke. That's when I felt smoking up would somehow seem ok to me.

Anyways , my leaves are approved. I am off to native for 5 whole days! I just pray it all goes well there. No internet=no work : ) And hopefully no calls from office. Lets see.

NaBloPoMo :)

Well I always wondered what is this "NaBloPoMo". Finally I figured it thanks to google. NaBloPoMo  is National Blog Posting Month and I feel this is exactly what I need :) So here I go

1. ) When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Initially a detective, then an air hostess, then an actress, then a journalist...the list is endless..
2.) What’s your favorite poem? (And if you don’t have one, why?)
I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud by William Wordsworth Sweet memories :)
3.) Define “freedom.”
Never having to Lie
4.) What’s the first thing that pops into your head when you think of your father?
Hmmm I wonder whats he upto now! :)
5.) Do you owe an apology to anyone? Why?
I usually apologize promptly so the answer is No.
6.) You’ve just been given a million dollars. You are not allowed to keep it or give it to anyone you know personally. What do you do with it and why?
I'll give it to the bank- to pay off the loans :)
7.) Japanese lore suggests that if you fold 1,000 paper cranes, your wish will come true. What would your wish be, and what would you be willing to do 1,000 times to get it?
I don't think I have that much patience. But maybe if I wanted something real bad I would I guess. Nothing as of now.
8.) If you could go back in time and meet your 16-year-old self, what three things would you tell yourself?
1)do not take education too lightly.
2)Listen to your mother and be wary of charmers
3)Loosen up a little :)
9.) Tell us about your first kiss.
I remember laughing alot. awkward and clumsy but nice :)

Few college bands and couple of them at a rock concert. Can't remember specifically.
11.) What’s your superpower?

Love and understanding :)
12.) What’s your greatest fear?

Losing loved ones.
13.) If you could take a train journey through any part of the world, where would you go?

Hogwarts :D
14.) What’s the one food you feel like you couldn’t live without? What’s the one food you’d rather die than put in your mouth?

a) I think curd rice :) to my own surprise :p

b) Any kind of new meat.
18.)What was the worst job you ever had?

Still on my first one...so nothing to choose from.
19.)Do you think it’s ever permissible to cheat?

No!
20.)Do something nice for someone today. Then tell us about what you did.

I'll tell tomorrow. Too sleepy to think!
21.)Perhaps you’ve played this game. Your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse lets you have one free pass — one special man or woman who is so attractive and out of reach that if circumstances allowed it, your partner would allow you to sleep with that person. Most monogamous couples feel safe with the free pass rule as it’s more theoretical than practical. Sill, if your partner gave you a free pass, would you use it? On who? (Single people can use this prompt however they please.)

No.
22.) How do you feel about the name given to you at birth?

very happy...I love it!
