On Pain
 Kahlil Gibran
Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.
And could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy;
And you would accept the seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the seasons that pass over your fields.
And you would watch with serenity through the winters of your grief.

Much of your pain is self-chosen.
It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self.
Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity:
For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen,
And the cup he brings, though it burn your lips, has been fashioned of the clay which the Potter has moistened with His own sacred tears.

It is true. Pain and Happiness are always a choice. We are happy if we choose to be happy and we are sad if we choose to be sad. This is also well explained in this article.

And then there was hope...

I thought I was too tired. Too drained physically and mentally. I though I won't be able to write this post though I had so many things running through my mind.

I don't know how much I would be able to put it on this page but I'm glad at least I made an attempt.

On my way back from the studio this eve, I was worn and torn physically. But seeing certain things made me realize its not that bad at all. I reached out to help a blind boy to an empty seat. I watched a mechanic cleaning tyres in a tiny two wheeler garage. I saw a gol-guppa wala working to earn his daily bread. I just put myself in his position and tried to wonder, if I was that person how would I feel standing outside that MORE supermarket, going about my daily business. Would I be envious of those people driving by, loading their cars with shopping bags. Would I be envious of my customer with his pretty girl friend, fashionable clothes and funky gadgets. Or would I be content living my life, earning through my hard work.I don't know the answer to these. But what I do know is that life is just passing by as I moan. That I should rather be doing what I love than to crib bout what so many of them might not have.

I saw a few pics and post of Sudha Pillai and she just pushed me to come here and write this out. I know, just one topic can get me going. But I seem to run out of time and energy. Got an early start for tomorrow. There's a show tomorrow and I have three sequences to perform. I am excited and scared. Hope it goes well. Its been a long day today. And I think I have moaned enough.
